Greek private sector bank deposits rose in February after a drop in the previous month, central bank data showed on Thursday.
Business and household deposits increased to 142.24 billion euros ($155.62 billion) from 141.15 billion in January, Bank of Greece data showed.

Greek private sector bank deposits rose in December after a fall in the previous month, central bank data showed on Wednesday.
Businesses and household deposits came in at 143.1 billion euros ($158.78 billion), up from 139.6 billion in November, Bank of Greece data showed.

Businesses and household deposits dropped to 139.57 billion euros ($155.34 billion) from 139.69 billion in October, Bank of Greece data showed.

Credit contraction recorded in September
Total credit in Greece's banking system contracted 0.9 percent year-on-year in September after a 0.7 percent decline in the previous month, Bank of Greece data showed on Tuesday.
Credit extended to the government fell 3.1 percent after decreasing by 4.4 percent in August, the central bank said.
