ING and BNP Paribas among bidders for HSBC Turkey: Soruce

ING Group, BNP Paribas and Bahrain-based Arab Banking Corp (ABC) have submitted bids to buy HSBC's Turkish business, a source familiar with the process said on May 29.

The source said the bids are non-binding, suggesting that the process could still take some time to complete, but that one-to-one talks have begun.

Novak Djokovic through to Indian Wells quarterfinals

INDIAN WELLS - The world's number one tennis player Novak Djokovic reached quarterfinals at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells (California), after defeating John Isner of the United States 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) on Thursday morning (CET).

On his way to semis, Djokovic will next face Bernard Tomic of Australia who previously outplayed his compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Ana Ivanovic halted in Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's tennis player Ana Ivanovic failed to reach the eighth-finals at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells (California), after losing to Caroline Garcia of France 2-1 (2-6, 7-5, 2-6) on Tuesday morning (CET).

Ivanovic's defeat is certainly one of the surprises at the tournament in Indian Wells, as she was seeded fifth.

Defending champ Djokovic begins quest for Indian Wells title

INDIAN WELLS - The world's number one tennis player Novak Djokovic will begin his bid to defend the BNP Paribas Open title in Indian Wells by taking on Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus that previously played Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic who decided to pull out of the match at 6-3, 1-1.

As the first seed, Djokovic skipped the first round.
