S. Korea selects Airbus for $1.33 bn military contract
European aerospace giant Airbus won a $1.33 billion deal on June 30 to supply air refuelling tankers to South Korea, beating US rival Boeing, Seoul's military procurement agency said.
Airbus increases 20-year jet demand forecast
Planemaker Airbus increased its 20-year forecast for jet demand by nearly 4 percent on June 15, driven by growth in emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific region and China.
Airbus sees demand for 32,600 new planes worth nearly $5 trillion, up from a previous forecast in September for 31,358 planes worth $4.6 trillion, it said at the Paris Airshow.

European aircraft maker Airbus believes the United States will be the biggest customer for its A400M military transport plane, despite a fatal crash involving one of them during a test flight last month.
Airbus watching whether UTC will sell Sikorsky helicopter unit
Airbus is "watching with interest" to see whether United Technologies Corp (UTC) puts its Sikorsky helicopter business up for sale, the head of Airbus' US division said on June 8.

A400M military plane crashes in Spain
An Airbus A400M military plane crashed into a field 1.6 kilometers north of San Pablo airport in Seville in southern Spain on May 9 while apparently on a test flight, officials said.
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said between eight and 10 people were on board, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported. The prime minister's office could not confirm the comments.
