One of Russia's richest women died on Sunday in a small private plane crash in Germany, news agencies reported.

Natalia Filleva(55), co-owner of S7 Group's second-largest air carrier, has traveled on a single-engine six-seat Epic LT, which crashed and burned in the field, while making a landing at the small Egelsbach airport at 15.30 on Sunday, Filleva said.

Military Cargo Plane Crashes in Iran, 15 Killed

A Boeing 707 military cargo plane crashed in bad weather on Monday west of the Iranian capital, killing 15 out of the 16 people on board, the Iranian army said, quoted by Channel New Asia. 

A flight engineer survived and was taken to hospital, the army said in a statement carried by the semi-official Fars news agency.

Bulgaria Considers to Replace Russian MiG-29s With F-16 Jets

In June 2018 Bulgarian Parliament approved a plan to spend around $2 billion on its Air Force modernization. It planned to purchase 16 fighter jets to replace its existing air fleet of MiG-29s.

"A new F-16 is a much better aircraft than all the others available," Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borissov said on December 14.
