Indonesian Plane Crashes into Sea with 189 Passengers on Board
A brand new Indonesian Lion Air plane carrying 189 passengers and crew crashed into the sea Monday, officials said, moments after it had asked to be allowed to return to Jakarta, reports AFP.
The Boeing-737 MAX, which went into service just months ago, vanished from radar 13 minutes after taking off from the Indonesian capital, plunging into the Java Sea.
Bulgaria Mulls Four Options for New Fighter Jets
Bulgaria will be selecting among four offers of multi-purpose jet fighters to regenerate its ageing fleet of Soviet MiG-29 planes, the Defence Ministry said on Monday.
The four options came from Italy, the US and Sweden.

Hoax bomb threat forces plane to land in Crete
A bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax forced a passenger plane flying from Egypt to Germany to make an emergency landing in Crete on Thursday.
The Boeing 757 of Condor Airlines was flying from Egypt's Hurghada airport to Germany's Dusseldorf with 281 passengers onboard, when it diverted its course to land in Crete.
