Nearly All Bulgargaz's Money Held in KTB

Bulgaria's state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has some 98.5% of its assets stored in Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB), data from the Economy Ministry shows.

A report cited by daily 24 chasa contains a list of companies holding over BGN 3 M in a single bank.

Only entities for which the sum accounts for more than a quarter of their assets are included.

Bulgaria's Bulgargaz Opposes 2.5% Gas Price Cut Proposal

Bulgaria's state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has warned that a gas price cut will put it into a difficult financial situation.

Alexander Petrov, head of a department of Bulgargaz, presented the opinion of the company on the gas price cut proposal of the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (DKEVR) at an open sitting of DKEVR on gas prices as of July 1, 2014.

Bulgaria's CPC Accuses Bulgargaz Of Abuse Of Dominant Position

Bulgaria's Competition Protection Commission (CPC) accused the natural gas distributor Bulgargaz of abuse of dominant position. 

According to CPC, between August 2010 and end of 2012 Bulgargaz hindered competition and infringed customers' interests by forcing its clients to extend their contracts without the option to re-negotiate the conditions. 

Debts of Sofia Heating Utility to Bulgargaz Swell to BGN 0.5B

The debts of heating utility Toplofikatsiya Sofia to the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) have increased to BGN 555 000 000.

The debts of the heating utility increased after BEH was forced to yet again buy a portion of the debt of Toplofikatsiya Sofia to state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz worth BGN 128 M, according to reports of the BGNES news agency.
