For the time being, Bulgaria has no intention of stopping transit gas to Serbia and Hungary. This became clear at a briefing by Bulgarian Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov, who gave more details about Gazprom's decision to suspend natural gas supplies to Bulgaria.

Gazprom has completely cut off supplies to Bulgargaz and PGNiG because the countries do not pay in rubles for fuel.

This was announced by the holding, quoted by Reuters and TASS.

Deliveries will be suspended until payments are made, the concern added.

Transit through the two countries could be halted in the event of an illegal Russian gas withdrawal, Gazprom warned.

"At this stage, Russian gas supplies to Bulgaria have not been interrupted so far," Vladimir Malinov, executive director of the Bulgarian gas network operator Bulgartransgaz, told Reuters.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Energy announced that Gazprom had informed the Bulgarian state gas company Bulgargaz that it would suspend gas supplies from Wednesday.

Today, Bulgargaz received a notification that natural gas supplies from Gazprom Export will be suspended as of April 27.

"The Bulgarian side has fully fulfilled its obligations and has made all payments required under this agreement, in a timely manner, strictly and in accordance with its clauses," the energy ministry said tonight.

Natural gas prices will rise by more than 25% in April, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) decided in the late afternoon yesterday. The main reason is the increase in supply prices on international markets. Due to another increase in the price of gas, the price of heating and hot water will increase, but from May.

"The time for analysis and good intentions in the energy sector has expired. We are waiting for the results. We are monitoring what the government is doing to reduce the cost of electricity and gas and to have adequate compensation mechanisms for consumers and businesses.

Our country will not be able to get the entire agreed amount of Azerbaijani gas this year at a preferential price.

This was announced by the Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov before the Parliamentary Energy Committee.

The chairman of the Macedonian part of the joint commission on historical and educational issues with Bulgaria, Prof. Dragi Georgiev, openly stated that he did not mind a freeze on the work of the commission.
