On June 2, the national air carrier Bulgaria Air launched scheduled direct flights to Valencia, Spain's third-largest city. The journey between Sofia and the magnetic city will be performed every Tuesday in the afternoon.

Russian holidaymakers are trapped at airports in Bulgaria's Varna and Burgas due to problems with Bulgaria Airplanes, Russia's Honorary Consul in Burgas Tonko Fotev told TASS on Saturday.

With more than three hours the flights from Sofia to Varna were postponed. The flight to Burgas was also postponed with several hours.

And there are currently non-scheduled flights.

Cyprus Airways and Bulgaria Air have entered into a codeshare partnership. Cyprus Airways' customers will be able to fly from Larnaca to Sofia through a codeshare agreement with Bulgaria Air. The agreement will allow Cyprus Airways to sell tickets under its own flight code between Larnaca and Sofia. Other routes will be added in future.

The national carrier Bulgaria Air added another interesting and remarkable city to its portfolio of destinations - Tbilisi. Thanks to the successful codeshare contract the airline has with Aegean airlines, passengers can now get to the Georgian capital faster.
