CITUB Calls on State Authorities to Make Electricity Market More Predictable

At an extraordinary sitting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation employers and syndicates voiced their concern with the situation on the electricity market and the substantial increase in the price of electricity for industrial consumers, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Problems With the E-vignettes Introduced on 1 January

Today is the fourth day with problems with the e-vignettes introduced in Bulgaria on 1 January, 2019, reported the Bulgarian National Radio.

No terminals for purchasing electronic vignettes at border checkpoints and petrol stations, or terminals which are out of order is what the public have been complaining of.

Number of Trips to Bulgaria's Mountains Rise Significantly

The number of trips to Bulgaria's mountains rose significantly, analysis of Eurostat about the development of tourism in 2017 show, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Last year nearly 4.7 million personal trips to Bulgarian mountain resorts were made as compared to 2.9 million trips made in the previous year (2016), Eurostat data further shows.

Residents and visitors of Bulgaria's capital Sofia will again have the opportunity to attend the festive concert Stage Under the Stars that will be held traditionally on Prince Alexander I square downtown Sofia, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

New 100-lev Banknote Enters Circulation Today

A new banknote with a nominal value of BGN 100 / about 51 € / from 2018 is in circulation today, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

It will be valid along with the old one, which was issued back in 2003. The Bulgarian National Bank reported that the release of the new series is necessary for raising security.
