Bulgarian Food Safety Agency Bans Imported Fodder Containing Genetically Modified Bacteria

The EC undertook measures aimed at curbing the spread of unauthorized genetically modified bacteria in Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) in fodder, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Following an inspection the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency banned an imported fodder containing unauthorized form of Vitamin B2.

Nassional Assembly Speaker Tsveta Karayancheva is Visiting Finland

A parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Speaker Tsveta Karayancheva will be on an official visit to the Republic of Finland, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Bulgarian parliamentarians will talk with the chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Finnish Parliament.

There is also a meeting with His Eminence Leo, archbishop of Helsinki and all of Finland.

European Commission urges Bulgaria to take Swift Measures to Improve Air Quality

The European Commission has warned Bulgaria that it has failed to comply with the ruling of the Court of Justice of the EU on air quality, reported the Bulgarian National Radio. 

A year and a half ago the Court ruled that the country is not complying with the limit values for concentration of particulate matter in the atmosphere.

Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova met with British Minister for Arts, Heritage and Tourism Michael Ellis at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, reported the Bulgarian National Radio, 

Minister Angelkova presented Bulgaria as a year-round tourist destination, with a focus on summer and winter tourism, and the many other kinds of specialized tourism.
