Bulgarian President Radev Vetoes the Latest Amendments to the Corporate Income Tax Act

President Rumen Radev has vetoed the latest amendments to the Corporate Income Tax Act. Speaking to reporters, he said the Parliament has enough time to consider the veto and adopt the state budget for 2019 on time, the Bulgarian National Television reports.

The Rain Flooded Sofia

Sofia was another Bulgarian town where the rainy storm triggered a drama. Metro, malls, office buildings, shops, subways have been underwater this afternoon. Boulevards turned into rivers, the water at junctions was almost a meter in height, cars and buses from public transport flooded. The electricity was cut off in several neighborhoods.

Government Pulled out Proposed Changes to Disability Assessment Rules

The government pulled out proposed changes to the rules for disability assessment on 10th of April. The decision was announced by Bulgaria's Health Minister Kiril Ananiev following a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and Social Minister Bisser Petkov.
