Ambassador Emma Hopkins: We Want an Agreement with the European Union

,,We are in a decisive period, we hardly have time to see how we will deal with the EU negotiations. We look forward to the crucial vote in parliament, our MPs will have the last opportunity to do the best for the UK.'' This is what Emma Hopkins, Ambassador of Great Britain to Bulgaria, commented in the morning block of the Bulgarian National Television.

Dmitry Medvedev Met with Speker of Bulgarian Parliament Tsveta Karaiancheva

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev talked with National Assembly President Tsveta Karayancheva, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

The meeting was also attended by MPs from the Friendship Group between Bulgaria and Russia.

The Russian prime minister examined the plenary hall and hit the parliamentary bell.

First Cases of Measles in Plovdiv and Burgas

The Ministry of Health has reported 66 cases of measles. Of these, 41 are laboratory-confirmed, the Bulgarian National Television writes. 

Territoryally, 5 districts in the country were affected: Blagoevgrad - 48 patients, Sofia-city - 8 patients, Sofia-district - 8 patients, Burgas - 1 ill and Plovdiv - 1 ill.

Nurses in Bulgaria Are Protesting

Nurses from all over the country go to a national protest demanding a decent pay for their work, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

They insist on a starting salary of two minimum wages and regulation of working hours. Many of the nurses are doing extra work, claiming they are not paid or working in several places.

Illegal Tobacco Trade in Bulgaria For the Last Quarter of 2018 Will be Announced Today

A traditional study is carried out by collecting and analyzing empty cigarette packs in major cities in the country.

Data for the third quarter of last year show that the share of illegal cigarette consumption is just over 5%, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

Then most cigarettes without banderol were found in Pernik, Vidin and Haskovo.

Patients with Measles in Bulgaria Are Already 39 (Updated)

39 cases of measles in Bulgaria, 24 of them - laboratory proven, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

The last two cases are a 2-year-old child from Ihtiman and a 16-year-old boy from the Nadezhda district in the capital. 

Experts are categorical that an epidemic at this stage can not be announced.
