Gouillon meets with Bundestag member

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Arnaud Gouillon met with Bundestag member Zaklin Nastic in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and present the latest developments in Serbia's southern province and Belgrade's views on the issue.

Vucic, Beyer discuss Serbia-Germany economic cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Bundestag member Peter Beyer on Thursday to discuss Serbia-Germany economic cooperation and Serbia's EU accession path.

"The partnership with Germany is of the greatest significance for Serbia," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile that also included a photo from the meeting.

President visits Germany

In a reflection of a new era of cooperation, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou began a three-day visit to Germany on Wednesday.

The visit is taking place amid mutual trust after a decade of bilateral friction over the debt crisis, the migration issue and the German government's stance of equal distances with regard to tension between Greece and Turkey.

The prayer, in memory of the victims, was served by Bishop Jovan of umadija with the clergy, and after that, President Vui laid a wreath at the "V3" monument, erected at the place where students and professors of the Kragujevac high school were shot dead on October 21, 1941.
"We don't forget," the president said via Instagram ahead of the start of the event.

COVID-19: Germany and Russia Recorded Highest Number of Fatalities So Far

Germany is facing calls for a second lockdown before Christmas after recording 585 deaths and 29,875 new infections in one day - the highest numbers since the pandemic began.

"We have to act urgently. We have to do more than was previously planned," warned Economy Minister Peter Altmaier.

Russia and Ukraine also reported record numbers of fatalities on Friday.
