Deutsche Welle Releases Documentary About Marriage in Roma Minority of Bulgaria

The German publication Deutsche Welle has produced a documentary in Bulgaria about one of the older traditions of the Roma minority with regards to marriage.

The documentary follows a Kalaidzhi family as they attempt to find a husband for their daughter, and it explores the differences between the young Roma and the older generations.

The Bulgarians themselves are shocked by the language and content of the declaration, signed by Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov, said MEP Ska Keller to Deutsche Welle. She has still not received an official apology from Sofia.

Special court for KLA crimes "cannot be abolished" - Thaci

Tanjug carried this report on Thursday, citing the Pristina-based, Albanian language website Gazeta Express.

"The Special Court cannot be abolished and will not be abolished, this is the attitude of the state, not an opinion," Thaci told a press conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence.

Around 10 People Injured in Clashes at Moria Migrant Camp on Lesvos

Around 10 people were rushed to hospital on Lesvos on Tuesday night following violent clashes between rival groups in the Moria refugee and migrant camp, Ekathimerini reported.

Riot police were called in to quell the unrest, which reportedly broke out between rival groups of Iraqi and Afghan nationals and resulted in several small fires being set.
