Ready for Takeoff: Burgas Airport's Summer Flight Schedule Unveiled
The concessionaire company Fraport Twin Star Airport Management announced that Burgas Airport will kick off the active flight season with its first flight since Bulgaria's entry into the Schengen area by air, scheduled for the end of March.
Two airplanes forced to land
Two commercial aircraft were forced to land at Makedonia Airport in Thessaloniki in northern Greece on Thursday.
The first incident occurred at 2.50 p.m, when an aircraft of the Israeli airline El Al, operating the Prague-Tel Aviv route, had to land due to a passenger disturbing the crew.

BA, easyJet expand their Cyprus flights
The Cypriot Deputy Ministry of Tourism disclosed on social media the decision by British Airways to transition Gatwick-Larnaca flights into a full-time service.
Emphasizing the enhancement of Cyprus' air connectivity, especially during winter, is a top priority of the deputy ministry.

UK’s EasyJet says it is operating flights as normal to Rhodes
Britain's easyJet said on Sunday it was operating flights as normal to Rhodes but was closely monitoring the wildfires on the Greek island.
"We advise customers travelling to and from Rhodes to check the status of their flights on Flight Tracker," it said in a statement.

Istanbul Europe’s busiest airport in March
Türkiye's mega airport Istanbul was the busiest one in Europe, with an average of 1,263 daily flights in March, according to EUROCONTROL.
Sabiha Gökçen, also in Istanbul, ranked 17th on the list with an average of 549 daily flights.
Istanbul Airport was followed by Heathrow with 1,190 flights and Charles de Gaulle in Paris with 1,135 flights.

Amsterdam airport to ban private jets, night flights
Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport has said that it would stop night flights and bar private jets in a bid to cut greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.
Aircraft will be banned from taking off between midnight and 6 a.m. and will not be allowed to land before 5 a.m., Royal Schiphol Group chief executive Ruud Sondag said in a statement.
Corfu tourism season starts with flight from Belfast
The launch of the tourism season on the island of Corfu was inaugurated on Sunday, March 26 with an easyJet flight from Belfast that landed at Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport at about 11.30 a.m.
Nine flights followed, starting at 3 p.m. from the UK, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Belgium.
Turkish Airlines carried some 72 million passengers last year
Turkish Airlines carried a total of 71.8 million passengers in 2022, with the international passenger tally rising nearly 6 percent.
Last year, the carrier served 46.3 million international passengers, and the load factor on the international routes was 80.2 percent, Turkish Airlines said in a filing with Borsa Istanbul.
Istanbul Airport busiest in Europe last year
Istanbul's mega airport was the busiest in Europe last year, according to the latest data from Eurocontrol.
It was again a very close race for the top spot, with İGA Istanbul narrowly finishing the year on top with 1,156 daily movements. Amsterdam Schiphol takes the second spot with 1,140 daily flights, down 18 percent from 2019, Eurocontrol said in a report.
