Aristides Floros, the convicted former managing director of power supplier Energa, has reportedly been arrested following his release from prison on the grounds of medical evidence that appears to be of dubious authenticity.

One of the medical certificates detailing the health problems that led to the release from prison of a power company executive is vague, ambiguous and not supported by evidence, a Supreme Court prosecutor said in an appeal Friday.

Conservative New Democracy hit out at the government on Saturday over the release of the former managing director of power supplier Energa, Aristides Floros, who was sentenced to 21 months in prison in 2017 for his involvement in an embezzlement scam.

The court convicted Aris Floros and Nikos Dekolis of embezzlement.

Stefanos Siafakas, Achilleas Floros and Vassilis Milionis were deemed to be accessories to the theft.
