Russia has stopped the supply of natural gas through the Nord Stream pipeline, Russian and Western news agencies reported.

Capital Product Partners, the NASDAQ-listed shipping company controlled by the Vangelis Marinakis family, has successful accepted delivery of a newly built LNG carrier.

Christened "Adamastos", which in Greek means "indomitable", the carrier has a transport capacity of 174,000 cubic meters. It was built at Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard.

France announced it would take measures to block further rising costs for consumers by stoping further natural gas price hikes and by preventing a planned increase in electricity tariffs which was originally scheduled for February, Prime Minister Jean Castex said, quoted by Reuters. "For natural gas and electricity, we'll put in place what I would call a tariffs shield.

Oil giant Shell is seeking to make a fresh entry in the domestic natural gas market through DEPA Commercial, changing the landscape in the battle for a 65 percent stake in the company, and generally in the retail and wholesale natural gas market.

State sell-off fund TAIPED has recorded strong investor interest in the concession of DEPA Infrastructure, the Public Gas Corporation offshoot that includes only the utility's infrastructure and of which 65 percent belongs to the state and 35 percent to Hellenic Petroleum.
The fund expects at least seven to eight bidders in the first stage of the tender.

The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is 75% complete, the project's operator, Nord Stream 2 AG, said in a statement released today. A total of 1,855 kilometers of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline were built along the bottom of the Baltic Sea in the waters of Russia, Finland, Sweden and Germany. That's about 75 percent of the total length of the pipeline, the release said.
