Schedule for new metro line set out
Athens could have a new metro line running from Goudi to Galatsi via the city center by 2023, it was revealed Thursday as the government said it would launch a tender for the 1.2-billion-euro project in the fall of 2015.

Works on Athens Metro Line 4 to start at the end of 2015
Works on the creation of a Line Four for the Athens Metro are to begin at the end of 2015, Transport and Infrastructure Works Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis said on Thursday, noting that the new line will have 14 stations rather than nine as had been initially announced.
32km Section of Kalotina-Sofia Motorway To Be Built in 3 Years
The motorway section from Kalotina to road junction Hrabarsko may be completed in 3 years, according to Lazar Lazarov, Chair of the Management Board of Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency.
Lazarov, as cited by Monitor daily, explained that the 32-kilometer-long motorway section covered almost fully the motorway section from Sofia to the Bulgaria-Serbia border.
EIB signs deals with Greece for 815-mln investment in infrastructure projects
Greece has signed five finance agreements totalling 815 million euros with the European Investment Bank (EIB) ranging from highway projects to the Thessaloniki metro.

Finance Ministry Holding Talks on EUR 800 M Loan by EIB
Bulgaria's interim Deputy Prime Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva has announced the Finance Ministry is negotiating on a new loan from the European Investment Bank.
The EUR 800 M would be earmarked for ongoing infrastructure projects.
Dendias talks tax, funds in Germany
The Greek government Tuesday took its case for lower taxes to Germany, where Development Minister Nikos Dendias met German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble and Economic Affairs and Energy Minister Sigmar Gabriel.

Greece will aim to clinch a deal with the European Investment Bank regarding funding for a fourth metro line in Athens when officials from the Luxembourg-based long-term lending institution visit the city in September, Kathimerini has learned.

5 Buildings of Sofia Waste Plant to be Completed by end-November
Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova has said that the five main buildings of the waste processing plant in Sofia are to be built by end-November.
Fandakova pointed out in a Tuesday interview that the plant was to become functional in the autumn of 2015.
She noted that the plant was to process 410 000 tonnes of waste a year, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio.
