Gov't passes memorandum mandating state-own enterprises to bid in public auctions

The Government approved a memorandum on Thursday mandating state-owned enterprises to participate in public auctions.

"It is a memorandum that increases (...) competitiveness of the majority or wholly state-owned companies through public procurement procedures," said Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici at a news conference at Victoria Palace.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva will take part in the Foreign Affairs Council, which will be held in Brussels.

The meeting will begin today with a working breakfast with the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the main topic of which will be the creation of a Development Bank as a subordinate structure within the EIB.
