Central Macedonia farmers give government deadline for talks
Farmers in central Macedonia asked the government for a meeting with responsible ministers by Thursday to discuss their demands.
Farmers, who have been protesting changes to the social security system and tax hikes, on Wednesday warned that if this deadline is not met they will escalate their action.

EU Parliament chief tweets about Alexander the Great's heritage
European Parliament President Antonio Tajani sought on Thursday, with a tweet written in Greek, to set the record straight with regard to comments he made last year about the ethnicity of Alexander the Great and his father, Philip II of Macedon.
"I know my history very well. Alexander the Great was Greek and his ideas contributed to the birth of Europe," he tweeted.

Refugee hit by police car in Greek camp dies
A Syrian refugee, who was hit by a police car at Idomeni camp on the Greece-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) border sparking riots, died of his injuries, hospital officials confirmed Saturday.
The 40-year-old Kurd, who had been living with his family for more than two months at the squalid camp, died of head injuries on Thursday, the officials said.
