OTE prepares bid for Forthnet’s TV platform Nova

The Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE) is preparing a bid for the buyout of alternative telecom provider Forthnet owner of pay-TV platform Nova and OTE head Michalis Tsamaz on Tuesday indirectly confirmed that the countrys dominent industry player is interested in Forthnet.

Wind and Vodafone team up to squeeze EIT out of Forthnet
Local mobile networks Vodafone and Wind Hellas have forged a common front against Emirates International Telecommunications (EIT), the biggest shareholder at Greeces main alternative fixed-line service operator Forthnet. Instead of battling each other for control of the operator, they are now joining forces to get full control of the company, which also owns pay TV platform Nova.
Forthnet reports 74.4 pct Q1 rise in triple-play subscriptions
Listed Greek telecom service provider Forthnet on Friday announced a 74.4 percent increase in the number of its triple-play subscriptions (telephony, broadband Internet and pay television) in the first quarter of the year compared with the same period in 2013.
