Trabzonspor beats Fenerbahçe, reaches Turkish Cup final

Trabzonspor beats Fenerbahçe 3-1 in the Ziraat Turkish Cup semifinal match on June 16 to advance to final. 

Trabzonspor secured the 5-2 aggregate victory, having won the first leg 2-1 at home in March.

The visitors took the lead in the sixth minute at Ülker Stadium, when Norwegian star Alexander Sorloth scored the opener.

Fenerbahçe to face Trabzonspor in Turkish Cup

Football club Fenerbahçe will host Trabzonspor on June 16 in the second leg of Turkish Cup semifinals.

The game will be played at 8.45 p.m. local time (1745GMT) at the Ülker Stadium, Fenerbahçe's home ground,.

The Black Sea Storm defeated Yellow Canaries 2-1 in the first leg game in March to gain an advantage score at home.

Turkish Super Lig to resume on June 12

The Turkish Football Federation announced on May 28 that the top-tier Super Lig games will resume on June 12.

The federation said that all preparations were completed after the decision to restart the matches on June 12 was taken "with a joint agreement and request of the federation and 18 Super Lig clubs" to complete the remaining part
of the season.

Trabzonspor beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 on March 3 in the first leg game of the Ziraat Turkish Cup semifinals to gain a slight advantage at home.

In the match on Trabzonspor's home ground, Şenol Güneş Stadium, Alexander Sorloth scored the host's opening goal in the 46th minute, followed by Filip Novak scoring their second goal in the 66th minute.

Low visibility delays flight to Thessaloniki airport

A flight from Athens to Thessaloniki was delayed by two hours on Thursday due to low visibility at the northern port city's international airport, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.

Greece's National Meteorological Service (EMY) said fog at the airport limits visibility to 100 meters creating problems for landing aircraft. It expects visibility to gradually improve after 10 a.m.

Fraport eyes new developments at Makedonia airport

Fraport Greece is considering implementing additional non-obligatory investments at Thessaloniki's Makedonia Airport, including the construction and operation of a hotel. The German-Greek consortium has completed most of the initial 450-million-euro investment program in the 14 regional airports it operates.
