The course of the market during the first quarter of the year, the energy crisis, exacerbated by the war in Ukraine, rising product prices and disruption in the supply chain, were among issues raised and discussed by the members of the Board of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The meeting was attended by the President of GAIAOSE, Mr. Konstantinos Kessentes.

Italian railway company Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, buyer of Greek service operator Trainose, is seeking explanations from Athens about Transport Minister Christos Spirztis's statement on the new state railway service operator he wishes to create.

Just a couple of days after the signing of the concession of railway service operator Trainose to its Italian peer, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, the government is speaking about the creation of a new state railway company through Gaiaose, the railway properties company supervised by the Transport Ministry.

Railway property company GAIAOSE on Thursday designated the consortium of ETBA BIPE, a Piraeus Bank subsidiary, with Goldair Cargo as the temporary contractor for the construction and operation of the 588,000-square meter freight center at Thriaseio, western Attica, the only one to submit a binding offer.

Railway properties firm Gaiaose is planning to concede three more freight centers via tender procedures in the next 12 months, besides the Thriasio center, which will see its tender completed by the end of June if the firm's efforts are successful.
