Istanbul football giant Galatasaray has decided to part ways with coach Cesare Prandelli following two demoralizing defeats in a row, daily Hürriyet reported on its website Nov. 27.

The club management is expected to announce the decision in the evening, it stated.

Galatasaray signed a two-year contract with Italian coach Cesare Prandelli in a ceremony in the club’s Türk Telekom Arena stadium July 8.

Speaking to reporters at the ceremony, Prandelli, who only left Italy after a disappointing World Cup campaign last month, said Galatasaray chairman Ünal Aysal easily convinced him for the job.

Galatasaray is in talks with Scottish coach David Moyes for its vacant managerial post, according to reports.

Moyes, who is currently out of a job after departing Manchester United, arrived in Istanbul on June 27 to start talks with the Turkish club.
