Xena, the fictional Greek warrior princess of U.S. TV is trying to fight her way back to television. The Amazon made her debut on “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” in 1995 and was such a hit that instead of getting killed off as initially plan, she took on a life of her own in a spinoff syndicated series that aired from 1995 through to 2001.

The death toll from the crash of an Indonesian air force plane packed with military personnel and their families rose to 142 on July 1, as witnesses described people fleeing the disaster zone covered in blood with their clothes alight.

At least 116 people were killed on June 30 when an Indonesian air force transport plane crashed into a major city shortly after take-off and exploded in a fireball, officials said.
