The Bulgaria-Greece gas interconnector project marks a successful year of operation, transporting over 15.5 million MWh in 2023 without any disruption, reported IGB.

Israel Natural Gas Lines (INGL) is looking at building a natural gas pipeline to Europe under a memorandum of understanding signed with IGI Poseidon, it said on Tuesday.
The mooted EastMed pipeline could carry about 10 billion cubic meters of gas a year from the Eastern Mediterranean to Cyprus, Greece, Italy and other European markets.

By May 20th will happen the first sod of the construction where the interconnector with Greece will be made. This was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in Rousse. He was in the Danube town to get acquainted with the new investment of a German automotive locking plant that opened a new production base.
 

The EU's competition regulators have approved a plan by Greece and Bulgaria to build and operate a natural gas interconnector with public funds, reports Energy Live News. 

They said the €240 million (£209m) project will boost the region's goal of diversifying its energy supplies by carrying three billion cubic meters of natural gas from Greece to Bulgaria each year by 2021.

European and Israeli governments gave their support on April 3 to moving forward with a Mediterranean pipeline project to carry natural gas from Israel to Europe, setting a target date of 2025 for completion.
