IKEA Plans to Invest over EUR 200 Million in Serbia
The Swedish furniture giant, IKEA, plans to invest in neighboring Serbia over EUR 200 million over the next five years, according to a news release by Western Labor Minister Zoran Djordjevic.
The company has already invested EUR 60 million in the country and hired 330 employees for its Belgrade site, which started work about a month ago.

IKEA opens doors of its first store in Serbia
Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday took part in the opening ceremony of IKEA's first Serbia store, saying that the arrival of the Swedish giant "makes him proud."
The president told reporters that "talks are already underway" with the company's management about achieving "a much higher volume of manufacturing for the global market in Serbia."

Serbian President Hypes New IKEA Store Opening
Aleksandar Vucic's article, published on Wednesday in Serbian tabloid Alo, linked the upcoming opening of the new IKEA store to what he described as his own government's success.
"IKEA does not exist where there is no desire to think and work in a new, different way," Vucic wrote in the article.

IKEA completes construction of first Serbia store
Sweden's furniture retailer IKEA has installed "the IKEA tower" - a 45-meter tall symbol of its store at Bubanj Potok, near Belgrade.
This "symbolically announced the end of works" on this store, the first the company has built in Serbia.
