Hazardously High Water Level of the Danube River at Vidin
The Danube River at Vidin climbed 47 centimeters for the last day and reached a level of 756 centimeters. In Novo Selo, the river's rise was 58 centimeters and the level reached 724 centimeters, according to its EA Survey and Maintenance of the Danube River Agency, quoted by BTA.

Ex Head of Bulgaria's State-Owned Irrigation Systems Brutally Beaten
Georgi Harizanov, former Chair of the Board of Directors of Bulgaria's state-owned Irrigation Systems, was brutally beaten in front of his home in Sofia late in Thursday.
The incident happened at around 10 pm in the Krasna Polyana residential district, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
No Risk of Flooding Dams, Says Bulgarian Agriculture Minister
The expected rainfalls in Bulgaria do not pose a risk for flooding of dams, the Agriculture Minister Dimitar Grekov assured.
"The dams managed by the "Irrigation Systems" company are under control", Grekov said.

Bulgaria's Irrigation Systems employees have already received their delayed salaries, Minister of Agriculture and Food Dimitar Grekov announced.
The funds allocated by the Government amount to BGN 15M, and only part of it, namely 1.6M monthly, will go for salaries.
