Iskratel happy with 2021 results given situation
Kranj – Telecoms equipment maker Iskratel reported EUR 98.4 million in revenue for 2021, up 5.5% year-on-year. “Our business result was positive in what was a really challenging period,” Iskratel CEO Robert Kuzmič has told the STA. In light of developments at home and around the world, the group is satisfied with the results despite not having achieved the initial plans.

Only part of e-tolling to be ready by December
Ljubljana – E-tolling system for cars will not be fully up and running by December as planned. Only annual electronic vignettes for cars and semi-annual e-vignettes for motorbikes will be available from December, while weekly and monthly e-vignettes will not be available until February 2022.

DARS and Skytoll sign e-toll system contract
Ljubljana – The national motorway company DARS and Slovakia’s Skytoll signed a contract on Thursday to launch an e-tolling system for cars in Slovenia. Both sides will try to push forward the date of the launch so that drivers could start using the system on 1 December as was initially planned, DARS said.

Ljubljana – Karl Erjavec, the leader of the Pensioners’ Party (DeSUS), announced on Wednesday he was stepping down as president. He is no longer a member of the party either, saying that this was no longer the party he led for 15 years.

Ljubljana – Karl Erjavec, the president of the Pensioners’ Party (DeSUS), has taken a job at the telecommunications equipment provider Iskratel where he will advise the CEO on expansion to new markets, prompting speculations about the future of his political career.
Slovakia’s Skytoll to set up e-vignettes system in Slovenia
Ljubljana – Slovakia’s Skytoll has been selected to set up a system for electronic tolling of cars, which is to become operational in December, the state-run motorway company DARS said on Friday. Skytoll offered to set up the system for EUR 15.7 million and its bid was the only one meeting the criteria. Appeals are still possible.
Three bids submitted for car e-tolling contract
Ljubljana – The state-run motorway company DARS has received three bids in response to a tender to set up a system for electronic tolling of cars, which is to become operational in December next year. The lowest bid was submitted by the Slovenian company Iskratel in partnership with Hungarian ARH Informatics.
