Japan braces for ’very dangerous’ Typhoon Nanmadol
Japan's weather agency on Sept. 17 warned of a "very dangerous" typhoon heading towards the country's southern Kyushu island, urging residents to evacuate before powerful wind hits the area.
Typhoon Nanmadol was carrying gusts up to 270 kilometres on Saturday near the remote Minami Daito island, 400 kilometres (250 miles) east of Okinawa island, the weather agency said.

Deadly Heatwave Kills People in Japan
AN EXTREME heatwave that has hit in Japan has led to temperatures as high as 40C, with the casualties climbing up as more deaths were reported.
The Japan Times reports that more than 10,000 people had been taken to hospital due to heat stroke related symptoms.
The death toll had climbed to 30, after 10 more deaths were reported on Thursday.
