Slovenia suspended the application of Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine as it investigates the death of a 20-year-old woman and thousands of people protested vaccination in the tiny Eu nation.

The Belgian government said on Wednesday it was suspending vaccinations with Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine for people under the age of 41 following the death of a woman from severe side-effects after receiving the jab.

EU officials have been warned by American drugs giant Johnson & Johnson that supply issues will impact an expected deliver of around 55 million doses of its jab to the bloc.

President Joe Biden said Tuesday the United States would have sufficient vaccine supply by the end of May to inoculate the entire US adult population.

"We're now on track to have enough vaccine supply for every adult in America by the end of May," said Biden -- who had previously forecast it would take until the end of July to amass that many doses.
