The landfill fire in Karlovo has been contained, there is no smoke visible, the Deputy Mayor of Karlovo, Anton Minev, told Focus Radio - Plovdiv.
"We are not concerned, firefighters responded instantly. Two fire engines and a water tank vehicle from the municipality are on site," Minev said.

Bulgarians Mark 182 Years Since the Birth of Vasil Levski
Bulgaria marks the 182th anniversary of Vasil Levski's birthday. The center of the celebrations will again be Karlovo, the native town of the Apostle of Freedom.
In front of the monuments of Levski in the country wreaths and flowers will be placed. A number of different events are planned for the anniversary of the birth of Levski.
Hurricane Wind Damages Buildings and Cut off Power Lines in Sopot
Hurricane wind damaged buildings and cut off power lines in Sopot, Karlovo and the nearby settlements in Central Bulgaria on 15th of January. Students were evacuated from a school in Sopot because of broken windows. Currently, there are no reports about injured people, reports BNT.
