The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, dubbed U.N. Women, has expressed its deepest condolences for Turkey's leading businessman Mustafa Koç, who passed away a day before his scheduled attendance at the initiative's meeting in Davos on Jan. 22.
Leading Turkish businessman Mustafa Koç suffers heart attack
Turkey's leading businessman Mustafa Koç suffered a heart attack on Jan. 21.
He was hospitalized to Istanbul's Beykoz State Hospital and his condition reported to be critical.
Koç was later transferred to the Vehbi Koç Foundation American Hospital (Amerikan Hastanesi), which he owns, by helicopter.

EBRD supports Turkey's Tofa? to build two new models with 200 mln-euro loan
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is supporting car development in Turkey with a 200 million euros syndicated loan to leading Turkish automaker Tofa?, it said in a written statement Oct. 22.
New Fiat model's production starts in Turkey
Tofa?, a joint venture of Turkey?s Koç Holding and Italy?s Fiat Chrysler, has started producing a new Fiat sedan model, Fiat Egea, in the northwestern province of Bursa on Sept. 28 in a ceremony with Koç Holding Chairman Mustafa Koç, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) CEO Sergio Marchionne and Tofa? employees in attendance.
