Four Turkish companies on Top 100 defense firms list
Four Turkish companies have made it to the prestigious Defense News 100 list for 2023, all climbing up on the ladder from the previous year's rankings with three of them climbing from the previous year while one entering the list for the first time.
Tenth upgraded F-16 Viper jet delivered to Greece
The Hellenic Air Force (HAF) received its 10th upgraded F-16 Viper fighter jet on Wednesday, as announced by Lockheed Martin and the Hellenic Aerospace Industry.
The HAF will receive a total of 84 upgraded fighters by 2027.
As noted, a total of 84 aircraft will be upgraded to the Viper configuration by 2027.

Romania To Host F-16 Pilot Training Centre for NATO
Romania will host pilot training facilities for F-16 aircraft, including those from Ukraine, as part of a new transatlantic military project, according to the Romanian Supreme National Defence Council, CSAT.
The regional hub in Romania will cover the training requirements of allies and regional partners, making Romania a regional leader in F-16 pilot training.

Congress has to be on board with F-16 sale, State Department says
The US State Department supports the sale of Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter jets to Turkey, but Congress has to also be on board since it is not solely up to the department to decide on the issue, spokesperson Ned Price told a briefing Thursday.
