Lufthansa stops Flights to Kyiv and Odessa
German airline Lufthansa has announced that it will suspend flights to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv from tomorrow due to growing fears of a Russian invasion.
The airline said it would also suspend flights to Odessa, a key Black Sea port.
"The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority at all times," Lufthansa said.

The Italian government has given the green light to privatization of ITA Airways, the successor of Alitalia currently being eyed by Lufthansa and MSC.
ITA, which began operating in October out of the ashes of loss-making Alitalia, is valued at between 1.2 billion and 1.4 billion euros, a financial source told AFP.

Turkish Airlines’ net profits hit $735 million in three quarters of 2021
Turkish Airlines has reported a net profit of $735 million in the first nine months of 2021, İlker Aycı, the flag carrier's chairman of the board, has announced.
"We managed to post profit at a time when other airlines, such Lufthansa, Air France-KLM and United Airlines recorded siginifcant losses.

Lufthansa Introduces Gender-Neutral Greetings on Board
Europe's largest airline group Lufthansa said Tuesday it was retiring "ladies and gentlemen" as an on-board greeting in favour of gender-neutral alternatives. A spokesman for the German company told AFP the move was intended to make all passengers on board feel welcome, including those who do not identify as male or female.
Brussels Airlines returns to Ljubljana airport
Brnik – Air carriers keep returning to Ljubljana airport as, after more than a one-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Brussels Airlines aircraft touched down at Brnik again on Monday. The flag carrier of Belgium currently operates three flights a week to and from Ljubljana, and the number of flights is expected to increase.

Five airlines apply for new subsidies to fly to Slovenia
Ljubljana – Five airlines have applied for subsidies to fly to Ljubljana in the second round of a call designed to improve air links to the Slovenian capital. A total of EUR 764,640 is available, the Economy Ministry told the STA on Friday.
