Japanese energy conglomerate ENEOS Holdings said yesterday it will withdraw from a gas project in coup-hit Myanmar, days after its Thai and Malaysian partners announced they would pull out.

Çalık Enerji, a Çalık Holding-Mitsubishi Corporation partnership, said Feb. 6 it increased its bond issuance amount initially set at 100 million Turkish Liras to 150 million liras due to strong demand. 

The proceeds from the issuance, placed by ÜNLÜ & Co, will be used for the financing of the company's energy investments, the company said in a statement. 

A group of Qatari state-linked investors and three Japanese power firms have signed an agreement to study the possibility of developing projects in Turkey?s Af?in Elbistan region, one of the Qatari firms said in a statement on Feb. 22.
