As many as 11,017 people get the Covid shot in past 24 hours

As many as 11,017 people have received the coronavirus jab with either the Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson&Johnson vaccine in the past 24 hours, the National COVID Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) informs on Wednesday. As many as 7,951 people were given the priming shot and 3,066 received the booster shot.

As many as 12,106 persons were inoculated with Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, 8,719 persons with the first dose, and 3,387 with the second dose, according to an information sent on Tuesday by Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV).

Japan Suspends Use of 1.63 Million Jabs of Moderna Vaccine over Safety Concerns

Japan announced it had suspended the use of some 1.63 million Covid-19 Moderna jabs after the domestic distributor received reports of contaminants inside the doses. Both country's officials and representatives of the pharmaceutical company said that no safety or efficacy issues had been identified but still the suspension was just a precaution, Reuters elaborated.
