Serbian pilot lands passenger plane after midair explosion

Pilot Vladimir Vodopivec on February 2 managed to safely land a commercial aircraft after an explosion ripped off a part of its fuselage near the right wing.

Daily Blic said the pilot is a 64-year-old Belgrader who in the past worked for Serbia's Jat Airways and Montenegro Airlines, and now flies for Daallo Airlines.

Vulin: Government aims to further reduce unemployment rate

BELGRADE - Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Aleksandar Vulin said on Monday that last year saw a drop in Serbia's unemployment rate from 23 to 17.6 percent, and the government will strive to keep it at the same level and reduce it, if possible, primarily through youth employment schemes.

Montenegro NGO Queries State Firms' Donations

A Montenegrin watchdog, the Center for Democratic Transition, has called on the government to investigate alleged problems over the donation of public money to individuals and companies, claiming that current practice leaves room for wrongdoing.

CDT's latest research has found that state firms donated over 2.6 million euro over the last two years.
