Mytilineos Group

With a total of outstanding projects that exceeds 3.5 billion euros, in Greece and abroad, the listed Mytilineos group continues to strengthen its presence in the construction industry. Out of the above amount, it is estimated that over €1 billion only concerns projects run by METKA, which is the construction arm of the group.

On Tuesday high-flying Mytilineos Group and the banking sector led the Greek stock market back to its upward course that has dominated Athinon Avenue throughout this year.

Athens-listed Mytilineos Group is ready to tap the international capital markets in the next few months, well-informed banking sources say.

Six candidates have expressed their interest in a tender to buy Larco General Mining & Metallurgical Company assets, including the leasing of the mining complex in Larymna.

According to information, the six candidates were: GEK Terna, Tharisa Plc, Mytilineos Group, Solway Investment Group, Trafigura Group Pte, and Commodity and Mining Insight Ireland Limited.

The Renewables & Storage Development (RSD) Business Unit of the Mytilineos Group has been selected by PPC Renewables, a Public Power Corporation subsidiary, as the provisional contractor for a large photovoltaic project at Kozani, with a capacity of 200 megawatts.

The Mytilineos Group announced on Monday that after three years of delays due to the internal situation in Libya, it is relaunching construction work for a new power plant in Tobruk, as the necessary funding lines that had been languishing have now been activated. 

The Athens-listed Mytilineos group on Thursday announced a 47.8 percent rise in turnover last year and 2.6 percent growth in net profits on an annual basis.
It said its 2019 turnover reached 2.256 billion euros, from 1.526 billion euros in 2018, supported by the strong growth achieved by its power and gas unit.

Mytilineos group subsidiary Zeologic SA on Wednesday announced the signing of an agreement with Fairdeal Marine Services FZE for the construction of a treatment plant for oily sludge as well as sludge arising from flue gas treatment systems.

Mytilineos group head Evangelos Mytilineos has expressed concern over the future of Public Power Corporation, suggesting his company could withdraw from the tender for PPC's lignite-powered units.

Foreign investors are making a dynamic comeback in the Greek market of renewable energy sources (RES), which has accounted for the biggest deals in the business sector in the last couple of years.
