Greece to offer law on restructuring bad loans next month

EU clears National Bank of Greece's restructuring plan
The European Commission has approved National Bank of Greece's (NBG) restructuring plan, which includes reducing NBG's stake in Turkey's Finansbank .
NBG was one of Greece's big four banks that were rescued with state aid during the country's debt crisis. The Commission then reviewed NBG's business plan to see if it was in line with EU state aid rules.

Fitch upgrades three Greek banks' state-guaranteed debt to 'B'
Fitch Ratings has upgraded the state-guaranteed long-term senior debt rating of National Bank of Greece (NBG, B-/Stable), Alpha Bank (Alpha, B-/Stable) and Eurobank Ergasias (Eurobank, B-/Stable) to 'B' from 'B-'.
The rating actions follow the upgrade of Greece's sovereign Long-Term foreign currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR). [Reuters]
Alpha Bank opens books on new three-year senior bond
Alpha Bank is set to offer the lowest new issue yield from a Greek bank since the country's institutions returned to the capital markets on Thursday, helping further cement the recovery story of one of the eurozone's most troubled jurisdictions.
The Caa1/CCC/B- rated bank is marketing the three-year bond at 3.75 percent area via Citigroup, HSBC, JP Morgan and Mediobanca.
Fitch puts NBG rating on Rating Watch Positive
Fitch Ratings on Friday announced it has placed National Bank of Greeces mortgage-covered bonds B+ rating on Rating Watch Positive, following the upgrade of Greeces sovereign long-term rating to B, from B- a week earlier.

Moody’s: NBG bond amendment has no impact on rating
Moodys announced on Friday there is no rating impact on National Bank of Greeces covered bonds following an amendment to the bond transaction documents.
The amendment will allow bondholders of any series to sell a pro rata share of the cover pool after the issuer has defaulted or following an extension of the relevant series.
