Gas found in Black Sea worth over $500 bln: Minister
Natural gas Türkiye discovered in the Black Sea is worth more than $500 billion and is large enough to supply all homes in the country with gas for 35 years, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has said.

Türkiye to increase energy investments with zero emission target
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has stated that in addition to conventional nuclear power plants, small and medium-sized modular reactors (SMR) have also been included in the agenda for the "zero emission" target envisaged for 2053.
‘Black Sea natural gas to meet households’ needs for 33 years’
The natural gas discovered in the Black Sea will meet the consumption of households in Türkiye for 33 years, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has said.
The production from the Black Sea field will reach its peak level in four years, which will help the country reduce its natural gas imports, he added.

Energy efficiency investments save $372 million last year
Investments of $1.3 billion aimed at energy efficiency helped Türkiye save $372 million in 2021, according to data from the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry.
Türkiye launched its National Energy Efficiency Action Plan in 2018, which targets to increase efficiency in buildings, industry, transport, agriculture and other sectors.
Deep-sea pipelaying for Black Sea gas begins
Work for deep-sea pipelaying to transfer the natural gas found in the Black Sea has begun, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has said.
"Pipelaying in shallow waters is complete. Works at the energy base 2,500 meters deep in the Black Sea are continuing 24/7," Dönmez tweeted on July 11, with a photo of the Castorone ship, which lays the pipes.
