Turkish gov’t looks beyond its proximity to ramp up exports

The Turkish government aims to add $80 billion to the volume of its exports with its "faraway countries strategy," Trade Minister Mehmet Muş said in an interview on Oct. 7. 
"Turkey carries out 65 percent of its exports within an area of 2,000 kilometers. We often don't go further away," Muş told private broadcaster NTV.

Probe launched over claims baby mistakenly given COVID jab

Turkey's Health Ministry has launched a probe following allegations by an expert that a baby was mistakenly given a COVID-19 vaccine.

The issue became a hotly debated matter after a professor earlier suggested that at some community health centers' coronavirus jabs are being administered to babies.

Turkey offers help to resolve Suez Canal blockage

Turkey offered Egypt to send the Nene Hatun vessel to help its operations in reopening the Suez Canal after a massive container ship ran aground, Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu told private broadcaster NTV on March 26.

"We have offered help, and we'll send aid if they come with a positive response," he said.
