Bank funding for a 451-mln-euro solar project at Amyntaio
Greek banks Alpha, Eurobank and National have signed loan contracts with the energy groups RWE and Public Power Corporation for the construction of four photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 730 MWp in Amyntaio. This is an investment of 451.4 million euros, with co-financing from the Recovery Fund.

PPC signs agreement for Phoibi project
Public Power Corporation SA on Thursday announced the completion of the signing of the syndicated financing of Phoibi Energiaki Sole Shareholder SA, a subsidiary of PPC Renewables, within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Greece 2.0, with Eurobank acting as coordinator and Eurobank and Piraeus Bank as co-organizer.

Giants joining forces in RES
The agreement Public Power Corporation signed on Wednesday through its PPC Renewables subsidiary with the Copelouzos and Samaras groups for the acquisition of shares in the company Thrakiki Wind 1 SA brings the utility ahead in the race for offshore wind farms, given its license for the 216-megawatt offshore wind park off Alexandroupoli.

PPC Renewables and Intrakat to join forces in RES portfolio
PPC announced the signing of a binding agreement on Wednesday between its subsidiary PPC Renewables and Intrakat Group for the joint development of a renewable energy sources (RES) portfolio with a total capacity of up to 2.7 gigawatts.
PPC bolsters total green installed portfolio in Balkans to 1.5 GW
PPC further strengthened its position in the Romanian market with a new acquisition of 84 megawatts.
Together with the 650 MW of RES installed in Greece, PPC brings its total green installed portfolio in the Balkans to 1.5 gigawatts.
Heron signs deal with Meton Energy
Heron Group on Wednesday announced the signing of long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with RWE Renewables Europe & Australia and PPC Renewables, through their joint venture Meton Energy.
Under the terms of the agreement, Heron will supply approximately 192 gigawatt-hours of green electricity each year.

Old wind turbines need replacement
The first generation of wind turbines, installed starting in the mid-1990s, is rapidly reaching the end of its lifetime and some are overdue for a replacement. It is estimated that about 775 wind turbines will have to be replaced by 2030.

Mytilineos lands Kozani solar project
The Renewables & Storage Development (RSD) Business Unit of the Mytilineos Group has been selected by PPC Renewables, a Public Power Corporation subsidiary, as the provisional contractor for a large photovoltaic project at Kozani, with a capacity of 200 megawatts.
