Greece gets nine non-binding bids for stake in gas supplier DEPA Commercial

Greece has received nine non-binding bids for the sale of a 65 percent stake in its dominant gas supplier DEPA Commercial, its privatisation agency said on Monday.

Investors who have expressed an interest in the stake include Shell Gas, Vitol Holding, Power Globe, MET Holding and C.G. Gas Limited of Greece's Copelouzos group, the agency said in a statement.

Power utility boss departs after change of government

Greece's energy ministry said on Wednesday that the chief executive of state-controlled utility Public Power Corp (PPC) has resigned, days after a change of government in Athens.
Manolis Panagiotakis resigned a day after Greece's newly-appointed energy minister said the new conservative government will work on a plan to salvage PPC from "the verge of collapse".

PPC receives six expressions of interest in coal-fired power plants

Greece's Public Power Corp (PPC) on Friday received six expressions of interest in three coal-fired power plants it is selling under a post-bailout agreement with its international lenders.
PPC, which is 51 percent state owned, relaunched the sale last week after a previous tender failed to attract satisfactory bids last month.

Mandate of PPC CEO set to be extended

Greece is poised to renew the term of the chief executive of its biggest power utility Public Power Corp (PPC) for another three years after no other candidates came forward.

Manolis Panagiotakis has been CEO of PPC since 2015 and his term, which ended in April, has been extended until a shareholders meeting due to take place on Thursday.

Greek electricity utility Public Power Corp (PPC) will invite investors to submit expressions of interest for the sale of two coal-fired units next week.

Greece and its lenders have agreed that PPC will divest about 40 percent of its coal-fired capacity to help to open up the sector after an EU court ruled that PPC abused its dominance in the coal market.
