ForMin Melescanu: Hard to believe we will have EC portfolio with important funds for third time

 Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu said Thursday that it is hard to believe that Romania will manage to hold for the third time within the European Commission a portfolio that manages "many projects and very important funds", after having held two such positions consecutively. "Indeed, Romania has had extremely important portfolios in the last two Commission terms.

Three Seas Initiative Summit to be unfolded in Bucharest, Sept. 17-18

President Klaus Iohannis will host the third Summit of the Three Seas Initiative, at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace, September 17-18.

According to a press statement released by the Presidential Administration, the summit in Bucharest will provide a political opportunity to validate the strategic guidelines that underlie the future development of the Three Seas Initiative.

Repairing all roads in the country would cost BGN 12 B by 2020, according to Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova.

Speaking Monday at a forum on construction in 2016, she noted that there was no opportunity to provide such large amounts of money and the authorities were striving to secure funding for 5-6 priority projects.

Toll Fee for Cars on Bulgarian Motorways to Amount to BGN 0.10/km

Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova has informed that the motorway toll for cars will amount to around BGN 0.10 per kilometer.

In a Wednesday interview for Nova TV, Pavlova noted that traffic analyses were yet to be conducted, with the estimates to be ready by the end of the year.
