Turkey’s car, LCV market expands 13.1 percent
The sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey improved 13.1 percent year on year in the first three quarters, an industrial group report showed on Oct. 4.
As many as 558,145 vehicles were sold across Turkey in the January-September period this year, the Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD) said in a statement.

Iohannis, after test drive with new Duster model: A modern and easy to drive car
President Klaus Iohannis on Saturday took a test drive with the new Dacia Duster model, saying it is a modern car and it is easy to drive. The head of state arrived at an event organised by Dacia Renault in Pianu de Jos locality, driving a Dacia Spring electric car. He then took a short test drive with the new Dacia Duster, about which he said it was a good car.
Nearly 117,000 vehicles registered in Turkey in July
A total of 116,988 vehicles were registered in Turkey in July, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced on Aug. 27.

The figure fell 15.8% from the same month last year but posted a month-on-month rise of 12.1%, TÜİK said.
The total number of road motor vehicles registered to traffic topped 24.8 million by the end of July, TÜİK said.
Turkey's road motor vehicle registrations up in June
The number of road motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased 37.2% year-on-year in June, the country's statistics authority revealed on July 28.

A total of 104,316 first- and second-hand vehicles were registered last month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
Roughly 30k vehicles registered in first half of July, of which 6,755 new cars
Roughly 30,000 vehicles were registered in Romania in the first half of July, of which 20,461 units in the "used" category, according to the recently published data of the Driving Permits and Vehicle Registration Regime Directorate (DRPCIV). According to the official statistics, in the analyzed interval, out of the total of the 9,291 new vehicles registered, 6,755 are cars.

Road motor vehicle registrations in Turkey rose 155.1% year-on-year in April, the country's statistical authority said on May 31.
A total of 102,461 first- and second-hand vehicles were registered last month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
Motor vehicle registrations, however, were down 21.4% compared to March 2021.
Road motor vehicle registrations jump in March
The number of vehicles registered in Turkey surged 81% in March compared to the same month last year, according to the country's statistics authority on April 20.
A total of 130,420 new and old vehicles were registered last month, according to TÜİK.
The overall number of registered vehicles traveling on Turkish roads neared 24.5 million as of this March.

25.8% drop in car registrations in Romania, after first three months (APIA)
Romanian car registrations have dropped by 25.8% during the first three months of this year, in comparison with the similar period of last year, according to a press release sent by the Car Producers and Importers Association (APIA).
French company Treves leaving Slovenia
Trebnje – The Slovenian subsidiary of the French car interior components maker Treves is to be shut down in September, which means a hundred people will be left jobless. The announcement comes after the plant based in the village of Bič near Trebnje was hit by a massive fire in January.
