Iraq takes back Saddam hometown with Iran's help: Report
Iranian troops have helped Iraqi government forces re-take most of the town of Tikrit, the Wall Street Journal reports Iranian security sources as saying.
The source said that two battalions of Iran's Quds force, the overseas branch of the country's Revolutionary Guard, helped battle the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants in the city.
Greek Q1 unemployment stable at 27.8 pct
Greece's jobless rate remained unchanged at 27.8 percent in the first three months of the year compared to the previous quarter, data from the country's statistics service showed on Thursday.
About 71 percent of Greece's 1.34 million jobless are long-term unemployed, meaning they have been out of work for at least 12 months, the figures showed.

Islamist militants seized the Turkish consulate in the Iraqi city of Mosul on June 11 and kidnapped the head of the diplomatic mission and 24 staff members, a police colonel said.
"ISIL members managed to kidnap the Turkish consul and 24 of his guards and assistants," the officer said, referring to powerful jihadist group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), AFP reported.
