A European-led naval mission in the Straits of Hormuz - a vital shipping route for world transport that has been impacted by military tensions in the Middle East - has won more political support from countries, said the French government on Monday.
Greek current account deficit shrinks in November
Greece's current account deficit shrank in November compared with the same month last year on the back of an improved balance in the primary income account due to lower net payments for interest and dividends, the Bank of Greece said on Monday.
Central bank data showed the deficit was 1.392 billion euros down from 1.446 billion euros in November 2018.

Aegean breaks passenger traffic record
Greece's largest carrier Aegean Airlines flew 15 million passengers last year, a record for the 20-year old airline, and boosted its load factor, it said on Friday.
Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance airline group, said overall passenger traffic grew 7 percent in 2019 with its load factor increasing to 84.8 percent from 83.9 percent a year earlier.

Cyprus intercepted a vessel carrying 101 Syrians off its coast on Tuesday, police said, one of the largest arrivals of refugees from the neighboring country in recent months.
