Erdogan says up to 250,000 people fleeing from Syria's Idlib towards Turkey
President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that up to 250,000 migrants were fleeing from the northwestern Syrian region of Idlib towards Turkey, adding that Ankara was trying to prevent them from crossing its border.
Turkey slashes January domestic borrowing by $1.6 billion
Turkey's Treasury on Tuesday slashed its domestic borrowing amount for January by almost 10 billion lira ($1.68 billion) to 15 billion lira, according to its three-month domestic borrowing strategy.
Greek retail sales up 7.1 pct y/y in October
Greek retail sales by volume rose 7.1 percent in October compared to the same month last year after an downwardly revised 5.0 percent increase in September, statistics service ELSTAT said on Tuesday.
Retail sales were led higher by purchases of medicines and cosmetics, followed by stationery, the data showed.

Aegean tables bid for Croatia Airlines
Greece's largest carrier Aegean Airlines has expressed interest in the privatization of Croatia Airlines and submitted a non-binding bid, it said on Friday.
Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance group, said any decision on whether it would take part in the next phase of the state-owned Croatian carrier's privatization would be taken in the coming months.

Erdogan says Turkey to send troops to Libya
President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that Turkey will send troops to Libya now that the north African country requested it, and he will present deployment legislation to the Turkish parliament in January.
Erdogan visited Tunisia on Wednesday to discuss cooperation for a possible ceasefire in neighbouring Libya.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan was quoted as saying on Friday that Ankara would retaliate against potential US sanctions over its purchase of Russian defense systems and a natural gas pipeline.
Greek jobless rate drops to 16.4 percent in third quarter
Greece's jobless rate fell to 16.4 percent in July-to-September from 16.9 percent in the second quarter, data by the country's statistics service ELSTAT showed on Friday.
About 73.6 percent of Greece's 777,000 jobless are long-term unemployed, meaning they have been out of work for at least 12 months, the figures showed.

Eurozone bond yields rose on Wednesday after more upbeat European economic data helped offset some of the anxiety about a new Brexit cliff-edge that boosted demand for safe-haven government debt a day earlier.

Erdogan says Turkey to boost cooperation with Libya
Turkey will improve its cooperation with Libya and is ready to provide military support for the Tripoli-based government or back joint steps in the eastern Mediterranean, broadcaster NTV cited President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying on Wednesday.
