"Argylle," the $200-million star-studded spy thriller from Apple Studios, debuted with $18 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates on Feb. 4. The film, directed by Matthew Vaughn, managed to lead the weekend box office, but still found little interest from moviegoers.

After more than 10 years, one of Hollywood's most famous actresses returns to Budapest. Angelina Jolie is expected to shoot a film about Maria Callas in Hungary in October, Budapest Reporter has reported.
The last time Jolie was in Budapest was 13 years ago, when she was directing the Golden Globe-nominated film "In the Land of Blood and Honey."

New York film critics name ’Drive My Car’ best film of 2021
The New York Film Critics Circle on Dec. 3 named "Drive My Car," Ryusuke Hamaguchi's intimate three-hour epic and Haruki Murakami's short story adaptation, the best film of the year.
Hamaguchi's film, about a widowed actor played by Hidetoshi Nishijima, has been widely hailed since its debut earlier in the year at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won for best screenplay.

British actor John Hurt dies at 77 (videos-photos)
Veteran actor John Hurt has died aged 77, his agent has said.
The Bafta-winning star, known for his roles in Alien and The Elephant Man, had been treated for pancreatic cancer in 2015.
He recently starred as Father Richard McSorley in Jackie, the biopic of President John F. Kennedy’s wife.
